Today is the day when His Royal Highness…Prince Phillip, The Duke of Edinburgh will be laid to rest …The service will be held in St. Georges Chapel in Windsor Castle where Prince Philip will be interred at the Royal Vault.
The Duke of Edinburgh was closely involved in the planning of his own funeral, As a result, it will
involve a number of unique touches which reflect his life and work.
His Royal Highness’s coffin will be carried by both the Grenadier Guards and the Royal Marines.
The Duke’s two beloved fell ponies…Balmoral Nevis and Notlaw Storm will pull the carriage
which was designed by the Duke himself.
A sad day for the Queen and the Royal Family...a day where she will with her customary grace and dignity sit alone with her thoughts…during the service…
