Here at Tell-It-To-The-World marketing where we marry Social Media with more Traditional Promotions we try to do as much as is possible to get the word out about people and their books, blogs, or businesses. I must say that I’m amazed to see that we’re coming up on three-years since I began this work. Unfortunately I don’t seem to have an actual begin date written down. This is most likely due to a computer crash or two over the last three-years. I’m going to contact my first client, Award Winning children’s author Wanda Luthman later today and see if she’s got a copy of her original contract, and when I discover the actual anniversary date or come close as I can to it, I’m going to schedule a massive Social Media Celebration event. Watch for more coming about that soon.
In the meantime we keep striving to do as much marketing as we can and we’re always on the lookout for new opportunities. That having been said, this marketing thing really is up to the client and how hard they want to work to provide content to promote themselves.
Tell-It-To-The- Marketing works a bit differently than the average marketing company. While we’re as I say, always on the lookout for new opportunities to market people’s work, we must have the work to market. Tell-It-To-The-World Marketing is a content promoter, which means, the client provides the content, and we find places to promote it.
Of course we also do network and outreach work, which means we’ll work as hard as possible to connect clients to people and places they can reach out to so they can help themselves by participating in blog tours, interviews, podcasts and online or in person events.
I’ve been asked what the Traditional portion of my business is, and I answer in this way…
I try to make myself available to chat via phone, email, text, or Facebook private messenger whenever the client needs help with a project, or just needs a listening ear so they can rant. Marketing can be rather frustrating and time consuming and there are times when we all need to just let off a little steam, so I try to be that sounding board.
I also like to have my clients get involved by bouncing ideas off them and having them give me their feedback.

For the most part, I’m a one woman show. I do all the major promoting by sharing the client’s content to my various Social Media platforms, and of course to my blog. I spend hours reading up on other marketing opportunities, and I handle all the phone, email, text, and Facebook messenger contact. But, I do have someone who helps me with things when they get a bit too visual, and her name is Claire Plaisted and she is owner and creator of Plaisted Publishing House.
