The Dream

Jewniquely Myself

I was flying
up
and up

in the thick of the forest,
Darkness
all around me

up
to the uppermost branches
and into the light

the vast
open sky
blue and vast

and I looked down
saw mountains and fields
the forest from which I had emerged
wondered how high I was

felt myself falling
down
down

all the way to the ground
where the old man asked:
are you blind again?
