Here we are at just a bit after 4 AM on a beautiful crisp Thor’s Day morning. The coffee’s hot, strong, and fresh, Campbell woke up in a good mood and even though we face a lot of different possibilities ahead for this moment in time things are pretty good for us these days.

As I made my morning coffee, I gave some thought to the year just past and marveled at the fact that though I’m still struggling to keep my head above water things are starting to smooth out just a bit.

I am finding there are fewer and fewer gaps between times of running out of things like coffee, food, and toiletries, I’m able to pay all my bills without any help from others, and my business is growing.

These thoughts all came to me as I opened a fresh bag of coffee. I was so glad for it as I poured it from its plastic bag into a canister, I’d saved I cheered. Not just because I’d done it without spilling any of the grounds either, but because just the day before I’d emptied that canister, and here I was the very next morning filling it back up.

No reusing grounds from the day before to make a weak pot that though I’d be grateful for, wouldn’t be nearly as good but opening a fresh bag, which I’d found on sale and had been able to afford to order and have shipped directly to my house.

To me, that is a huge deal and I stopped right then and there to give thanks.

Then, as I was measuring scoops into the pot, Campbell came bouncing into the kitchen, his nails clickety clickety click slipping and sliding on the linoleum like I’d not seen him do in months and the gratefulness I felt overflowed.

When the coffee began to perk, I knelt there on the floor, threw my arms around my startled pup and I prayed…

“ Thank you for the sun.

Thank you when day is done, all our needs, wants, desires, they’re met.

Thank you for what we have and have not yet.

Thank you when the day is through, we will still be we and you will still be you.

Light our path, guide our way, and give us what to do and say.

So! Mote! It! Be! On this Thor’s Day.

Blessid Be, Amen.”

Standing, I realized I’d not been doing that each day as I should. I’ve been so caught up in all the struggle with Campbell and his health issues I’d forgotten the face of Mother Father God and so I vowed to try and do better. To remember that even though there is much negativity, struggle and strife there are still many things to be thankful for within my life.

I wish you a great day and I remind you, you’re the only one who can make it that way.

And now, here is today’s Magickal Calendar…
