Good morning to all!
After having what was a much better day yesterday, than any day this week, Campbell and I went to bed around 9.
Usually he wants to play with his chew toy, and his Kong Monster, but last night he was all snuggly instead, and only wanted to lay on top of me, get petted and loved.
So, after I sang him his Bubba Song, which I always do without fail, I turned on a book, and read until I drifted off.
I’d set the coffee pot up to be ready to turn on this morning when I woke, and when I awoke at 3:20 and realized after tossing and turning for about 20 minutes or so that I wasn’t going back to sleep, I got up and turned it on.
Boy! Was I glad I’d set it up last night. While I was in the bathroom washing my face, brushing my teeth and hair, and wiping down the sink, toilet and tub I enjoyed the wonderful smell of coffee drifting through the house.
I could hear Campbell snoring his labby snore from his nest in the middle of my bed he’d created after I left him, and it was a peaceful way to wake up.
Now, I’m finished with my first cup, have checked my email and notifications, and I hear him waking up.
He’s doing his doggy things. Scratching, licky lick lick, and stretching.
Soon he’ll come off the bed with a mighty thud, shake, jingly jangly sneeze and day in the Campbell Kingdom will begin.
Everyone have a fabulous day and as I close I invite you to join me as I pray…
“Thank you for the morning sun.
Thank you, when day is done, all our needs, wants, and desires they’re met.
Thank you for what we have and have not yet.
Thank you when this day is through, we will still be we and you will still be you.
Light our path and guide our way.
Give us what to do and say.
So Mote It Be.
Blessid Be, Amen.”
