TIPS FROM TELL-IT-TO-THE-WORLD MARKETING: Fifty Ways To Sell Your Book Blog or Business

Good morning campbellsworld visitors and Totally Talented Tell-It-To-The-World Marketing Clients everywhere.
Here at Tell-It-To-The-World Marketing, where we support talented authors, as well as successful business owners in their marketing, by marrying social media, with more traditional approaches,
the goal is to help the client market their Book, Blog, or Business to the very best of their ability.

One of the best ways for me to do this, is to share tips with my clients, so that they can define the services I provide them, to better meet their needs.

This morning I’d like to talk with you about the numerous ways there are to sell your product.

You’ve heard the song fifty ways to leave your lover? Well there are as many ways to sell your book, blog, or business.

The first thing that you must do is commit. You must decide that you want to be successful at whatever it is you’re doing and that you are ready to go that extra mile to do it.
Remember your marketer is only as good as what you give them to market.

Clients say…

“But Patty it’s so hard to know how to promote myself.”

I say…

“Let’s think it through.”

OK. you’re an author. You want to let folks know that your book is out. You’ve sent out book ads with excerpts. You’ve gotten a few great reviews. You’ve given a few copies away and you are looking for a way to show folks what you can do without becoming boring…

You might try writing a post like author Jo E. Pinto has done several of…
Example POST URL:

This post shows her writing ability shares a bit about her personal life and gives you a taste of who she is. It allows the reader to connect with her on a personal level so that when they read her book she is known in the characters.

Maybe you run a business and you want to show people a little bit about what you do and why?

Try writing a blog post about it.
Just yesterday one of my clients sent me an email about some plans one of her clients had for marketing themselves. Before you knew what was happening with just a nudge from me my client had written a short piece about this as well as their own services.
This gave her the ability to give the work she and her husband do voice, without taking an enormous amount of time. It also allowed her to plug her client.

Example Post URL:

Maybe you’re a writer and you want to show people your skill and pass on a bit of your knowledge and sell a few books while doing so?

Here’s a post from David Cousland about just such a thing.

How does this help him sell his books?

He uses excerpts as example while talking about how he develops a character.

So, we get to sample his book and find out better ways to create characters. How great is that?

Example Post URL:

Maybe you’ve heard enough of folks talking about how being an author is not work? Maybe you’d like to show others how to find a venue and set up an event, while letting them know by using your skill that it is not all wine and roses?

Author Phyllis Staton Campbell does that very thing in a recent post found here on the blog called: Book Signings, But How?

Example Post URL:

Do you have a business? Are you wanting to get the word out about who you are what you do and why you do it?

Clay Goad of New Hope Aquascapes and Landscaping took a questionnaire I made up and wrote a beautiful story all about himself how he began his business and why.
This allows people to know him in a personal way.
What does this do for his business? By giving people a peek at the man behind the business potential customers get to see who it is that will be working for them.

Example POST URL:

Maybe you’re a blogger and you want very much to use that blog to help others?

Visit author Lynda McKinney Lambert at her blog and see how she’s doing it.

Example POST URL:

You can share your knowledge, be a storyteller, and more. These are but a few of the many many ways that you can promote your work.

I hope this has gotten your creative juices flowing. If you have comments, suggestions or questions please post them in the comment section.

Multi-genre Author Phyllis Campbell says:

When I released my book in October, I knew from bitter experience, that high quality publicity is the key to success. Tell-It-To-The-World Marketing offered just such publicity, through extensive Multimedia exposure at a price, less than a daily cup of coffee.
What has this exposure meant in dollars and cents? This is always hard to know, since exposure on one BLOG can mean exposure on another, with far reaching publicity. All I know is that I’m selling books. My book was picked to be featured at Book Expo America, in the spring, and I feel that it was noticed due to Patty Fletcher’s efforts through her Tell-It-To-The-World Marketing. I can’t recommend Tell-It-To-The-World Marketing too highly to anyone seeking quality publicity at an affordable price.

And, from Jo E. Pinto, Author of The Bright Side of Darkness:

Patty Fletcher has promoted my book for several months. She is innovative, thorough, and easy to work with. I appreciate her straightforward communication style. She lets me know exactly what she needs from me as a client, and she isn’t afraid to tell me when I should push myself harder and when I should take it easy on myself. Her prices are very reasonable, and she does a great job of finding new and different publicity opportunities.

“The Bright Side of Darkness”
Is my award-winning novel,
Available in Kindle, audio, and paperback formats.

Next Lynda Lambert says:

Patty Fletcher, owner of Tell-It-To-The-World Marketing, provides motivation, encouragement, insight and promotional ideas to her clients.
She works diligently on behalf of her clients to get the word out to the general reading public in order to help me and other writers achieve a level of success in marketing our books and informing us of upcoming events such as book fairs and writing opportunities. Patty is personable and generous with great ideas. I can highly recommend Patty to other writers.

Reblogged this on Campbells World and commented:

    Hello everyone.
I’m reblogging this in the hopes that it will get a few of you up and moving.
Take a look and know that being an author is more than writing a book. Being a business owner is more than just having an idea and creating it.
People cannot buy your book or product if they don’t know who you are and what you’ve got to offer.
There are some great examples given in this post and I hope that you’ll take the time to check them out.
