Good morning campbellsworld visitors, and authors everywhere!
Here at Tell-It-To-The-World Marketing, where we support talented authors, as well as successful business owners in their marketing, by marrying social media, with more traditional approaches,
the goal is to help the client market their Book, Blog, or Business to the very best of their ability.
One of the best ways for me to do this, is to share tips with my clients, so that they can define the services I provide them, to better meet their needs.
As a Social Media and WordPress Promotions Assistant I run across lots of different authors, and small business owners looking for help selling their books, or products.
In doing so the one problem I consistently find is that people have no idea how to market themselves, and in fact are uncomfortable doing so.
While I try hard to be understanding, patient, and helpful I find myself frustrated by this at times.
I mean no harm, and this post is not designed to single any one person out, but if you’re reading this and you feel a bit prickled I encourage you to keep reading.
Now, I’m kind of a blunt person so I’m just going to get right to the point.
If you do not believe in your book, or business no one else is going to either.
If you are expecting that you can just write a book and put it onto all the book buying sites, or open a business, and hang a sign in the window, and suddenly start having tons of readers, or customers, you can forget it.
People do not know, nor do they care who you are.
They are going to see your book blurb, or open for business sign, think about it for a minute or two, and then promptly forget about it.
Because there are at least one-million more just like it around the bend.
How can you prevent potential readers, or customers from putting you out of their minds?
Promotion. Promotion. Promotion.
You must market yourselves in consistent and unique ways.
You must always be thinking about new and innovative ideas to bring readers or customers to your website, or shop.
How can you do this?
Well, let’s start with writers.
When I opened Tell-It-To-The-World Marketing in midsummer 2017 I decided I wanted to use the things I’d been learning while recovering from illness.
While in the hospital and nursing therapy center I had a lot of time on my hands, and I spent most of that time reading how to blog posts.
I learned about content writing, and I thought that was an awesome idea.
So, one of the many ways I promote my authors is to get them to provide me with written pieces that somehow relate to the books they write, or why they write. I also encourage authors to provide me with book reviews of books they read for work or pleasure.
Why do I do this?
To engage the reader.
I remember growing up and becoming a constant reader and some of the things I wondered about were:
• What do they do when they’re not writing?
• What types of books do they read?
• Where do they go to have fun?
• What do they like to eat or cook?
If you’ve been following me for a while you know that authors like Abbie Johnson Taylor author of: My Ideal Partner: How I Met, Married, and Cared for the Man I Loved Despite Debilitating Odds (Copyright July 2016 David L. Faucheux, author of Across Two Novembers: A Year in the Life of a Blind Bibliophile
(Copyright 2017 Mary Hiland author of The Bumpy Road to Assisted Living: A Daughter’s Memoir (Copyright 2017and Author of Where Sheep May Safely Graze (Copyright 2017 and various other books Phyllis Staton Campbell have written many book reviews for your reading pleasure.
You know that Ann K Parsons Author of The Dimmies (Copyright 2017 Author Jo E. Pinto Author of the Bright Side of Darkness and many others have written stories about their lives, what they do for work, their families, recipes and even the struggles they face.
Has this helped them gain recognition as authors?
According to them, yes.
I don’t have any small businesses on board yet, but if I did I would have them write about things like:
• How they got the idea for their business
• What it took for them to get it off the ground
• What types of products they sold
• What kind of customers they were looking for.
None of this is easy, and all of it is time consuming, but if you really want to be a top-seller you must put in the time, and sacrifice.
I’m constantly advising people to turn off the boob-tube and Promote. Promote. Promote.
In January of 2018 I attended a writer’s conference. While there I got all kinds of creative ideas. I try when possible to pass those creative ideas onto my clients.
Now, I’m going to challenge you the reader to answer the following questions for me.
You can do it right here in the comments section, or if you’d like to think about it a bit and write me privately you can do so by writing: email@example.com with the words, What I Want To Know? In the subject-line.
This will help me help those I promote.
• What do you want to know about the authors you read?
• What will make you pick up their books off the shelf?
• What will entice you to enter a shop, or click a website when looking for a product?
• What types of things would you like to know about a business owner?
Enquiring promoter wants to know.
Well, that wraps it up for today, I think all of you get my point.
Before you go I’d like to invite you to read just a little further, so you can learn all about Tell-It-To-The-World Marketing, and how I can “Tell the world about you!”
Until next time this is Patty, who loves to think up new and fun ways to market folks, and King Campbell Super Seeing Eye Dog Side-Kick who is snoring while she does it saying…
The most important thing to remember is:
Promotion. Promotion. Promotion.
May harmony find you, and blessid be.

Multi-genre Author Phyllis Staton Campbell says:
When I released my book in October, I knew from bitter experience, that high quality publicity is the key to success. Tell-It-To-The-World Marketing offered just such publicity, through extensive Multimedia exposure at a price, less than a daily cup of coffee.
What has this exposure meant in dollars and cents? This is always hard to know, since exposure on one BLOG can mean exposure on another, with far reaching publicity. All I know is that I’m selling books. My book was picked to be featured at Book Expo America, in the spring, and I feel that it was noticed due to Patty Fletcher’s efforts through her Tell-It-To-The-World Marketing. I can’t recommend Tell-It-To-The-World Marketing too highly to anyone seeking quality publicity at an affordable price.

And, from Jo E. Pinto, Author of The Bright Side of Darkness:
Patty Fletcher has promoted my book for several months. She is innovative, thorough, and easy to work with. I appreciate her straightforward communication style. She lets me know exactly what she needs from me as a client, and she isn’t afraid to tell me when I should push myself harder and when I should take it easy on myself. Her prices are very reasonable, and she does a great job of finding new and different publicity opportunities.
