New moon! New intention!

Today is September 30, 2016! I wish all of you Campbell’s world visitors a fabulous Friday! Today is The new moon. What does this mean for us? It means that it is the day to set our new intention. It is the day to set our goal for ourselves. It is a day to decide what we are going to accomplish between now and the full moon. We can draw on the power of the moon, we can draw on powers of God and Goddess, and as the moon waxes all so can our power over whatever changes we are wanting to make in our life grow. I am glad to say, that I am working toward making everlasting changes in my life.

Yesterday, I rode of medication issues that I have been having. All through the day yesterday, I ask myself what things I could do to help myself. I made a list of things I needed to do, and I did them one by one. First thing to do, call the doctor. I called my mental health care provider and discussed with them the issues I’m having. We decided, that the first action to be taken is to do bloodwork. I have an appointment to see my primary care doctor on 8 October, and I will at that time have a complete physical. Included in that physical will be, blood sugar, blood count, iron, liver function, kidney function, medication levels, and whatever else my primary care doctor wants to toss in the mix. Once it has been learned whether or not I am having some type of physical issue, we will know where to go next with my medication. What is my doctor recommended I do in the meantime for these side effects? Try and get as much rest as possible. Listen to my body, sleep when it wants to as much as it is possible. Get plenty of physical exercise. Make certain to eat and to drink plenty of water. He reminded me this doesn’t mean T, Kool-Aid, coffee, beer etc.😒 he said,”this means real water!” So, to start the day I drank water, while waiting on my coffee, which I only made a half a pot of. That, was a change all by it’s self. Normally I drink at least one pot before I even get dressed for the day, and sometimes another half pot while I am listening to the morning news. It is no wonder I feel anxious. That, is not a good idea. Not for anyone, but especially someone who has bipolar tendencies. So there is my first change. Have I done this before? Of course! We all set goals, we all make intentions, we all work toward trying to make them happen, and we all screw it up. That’s why I say,”we never get it done, we never get it right, if we are lucky we just get it.” Part of living, is trying, failing, and trying again. Sometimes however though you must succeed. We must follow through on things we need to do for ourselves to be better. So on this day, September 30, 2016 I have decided to drink less coffee. I have decided to get more exercise. I have decided that each Time I take my medication, I am going to say,”May this medication that I take, be good for my body for goodness sake. May it be in alignment with me. Make me well as I Canby. So mote it be and Blessid be!” I am confident that if I truly set my mind my goal my intention, I can overcome these issues. I am also confident, that if I am faithful, prayerful, and draw on the powers that I know are my doctors, will be able, to work together, for the highest good for me. This is my goal my intent for the time period between this day, September 30, and the upcoming full moon.

Another new change for me is coming at the same time as the upcoming full moon. Right around the same time I will be beginning a computer class. I will be learning some new skills that will help me to increase my chances of getting a job. This is yet another change. I have been slightly afraid to take a computer class like this. Normally, I go to a center specializing in teaching blind persons. This time however, I will be attending a class at the Johnson City Tennessee career center. I have been assured that the instructor knows how to teach The software applications along with the screen reading applications. So, for the first time ever I will be taking computer classes along with sighted people. This for me is a big deal. So, it is another New change.

So, here I am just having passed the fall equinox. Coming through a new moon, the second one in the same month, all around me this season is changing. Friends of mine are setting new goals and trying new things for themselves, and so this I too will try.

My goals for October are, working on figuring out a safe, and positive way, for me to continue to be medicated. As well as learning a new skill. I plan to write about these things as they go forward. I ask you Campbell’s world visitors, what new things are you trying in your lives? If you are comfortable, share them here with us. I would love to engage you in conversation. If you rather keep your goals in private, but you would like for someone to pray with you about these things, you may email me, and I will happily pray with you and not share them with anyone.
