Happy Valentine’s Day and Good News Day to you!

First good news…

I am alive and moving about the Campbell Kingdom on my own power.  This means anything is possible for the day ahead.

Secondly…

I am surrounded by love.

Campbell began giving me love the moment his beautiful big brown eyes opened. Bob Cat greeted me in the kitchen with Kitty Kisses and PURRS. Of course he was staked out by his food bowl so I’m certain of *PURRSONAL*  motives…

After  I went out in to the frozen morning with my dog and Bob Cat following close behind, and then returned to the warmth and safety of my home, I was greeted with the awesome smell of lavender sage, and the freshly brewing coffee in the warm kitchen. I realize that with a morning like this the day ahead will absolutely have to be great. So I wait with anticipation.

So many people think this day is for couples. They have some kind of idea what love ought to be and they think they haven’t got it because they haven’t a partner to share the day with. I am not at all saying that I don’t wish I had a partner who would love and commit only to me, who would stop being frightened to take a chance and stop worrying about things that might or might not happen. Have a bit of faith in love, in the meantime I am going to enjoy my life and if others I love ever get themselves together enough to say they love me too – rather than hiding from their feeling – it will be a great bonus. However it doesn’t shape my whole existence, so I guess the good news is truly I have love. I didn’t need to go look for it!

Happy Love Day to you!

Happy Good News Day to you!

Good morrow, ’tis St Valentine’s Day All in the morn betime, And I a maid at your window, To be your valentine. St. Valentines’ Day, feast day honoring two third-century martyrs, both named St. Valentine. It is not known why this day is associated with lovers. It may derive from an old pagan festival, or it may have been inspired by the belief that birds mate on this day. A day to celebrate courtly and romantic love. Bulgaria: Viticulturists’ Day – A modern festival observing customs from the ancient cult of Dionysus, God of Wine and Merriment. Denmark: ‘Fjortende Februar’. This date is sacred to the Norse deity Vali, the archer God and son of Odin. In modern Denmark, it is celebrated as Valentine’s day. Tokens and gifts are exchanged between Danish schoolchildren, and Cupid’s arrows are loosed by Vali. Valentine Love Spells To dream of your future mate, pin five bay leaves to your pillow on the eve of St. Valentine’s (one in each corner and one in the middle). Or you can adopt the divination method used by young people in England: Write the names of prospective lovers on slips of paper, roll them in clay balls and drop them in a bowl of water. The first to rise to the surface will be your valentine.
