First Day Last Day

Today is Monday, and it is also the first day of the rest of my life, but I am going to live it as if it were my last. I read earlier something that suggested if we knew when we would die we’d take care of all the things needing done in our lives. My question is this, why not do it anyhow? Just cause you aren’t sure of the hour or day of your death, are you promised it won’t be within the next minute? No you aren’t Everyone listens to or watches the news, and everyone has seen all the terrorist attacks going on around the world. None of the people who went to the Boston Marathon thought they’d be killed or injured, none of those people who went to work on 9-11 thought their buildings would be smashed to burning bits. They weren’t thinking of any of that, it just happened. So let’s stop wasting such time, and start truly getting to the business of living. I for one am truly going to make an effort at that. If people don’t happen to like how I go about that, it’ll have to be their problem. If people want to not read my work because it steps on their toes, that’ll have to be their loss. I am not perfect, I will make mistakes, and I will pick myself back up and I will once again go “Forward” and I am going to work very hard on learning the true meaning of “Leave It!” and put the past behind me. My instructor at The Seeing Eye told me once, “Ms Fletcher, if you are always looking behind you, you aren’t ever going to get where you are going.” He said that to me one day while gently correcting me for walking and looking back over my shoulder, and slamming in to he and another staff member while doing so. His point didn’t really strike home with me until this day, and so this day is now and now is all I am promised, and I am going to do my very best to do a good job with it. Yall take care now, and comment back if you have ideas on how to do these things I speak of here.

Blessid Be to all!
