Birthday Shopping With My Boy!

Today has been yet another awesome day here in The Campbell Kingdom! Campbell and I had a big day today! First we went out to the Food City for our time on AM Tricities. If you guys haven’t listened to that show, we really hope you will sometime. It is rather awesome!

After we were done there, we made our way back  home and had lunch with a friend. Once that was done, and we were well rested, we decided it was high time we went birthday shopping! You see, our awesome special wonderful friend Bobby had sent us this way cool Walmart gift card, and it was more than burning a hole in my fanny pack. So it was more than time to go shopping. So we braved the wind and chili temps and off to Wally World we went.

Once we’d gotten settled on the bus I called ahead to the store to let them know we were coming and that we’d need help when we got there. I gave them a time of arrival but as luck would have it we were a bit earlier than I’d said. So there was no one to meet us. This however, did not pose a problem this day, because as we were coming through the door, I heard a lady I have named, “The Muffin Lady” talking about muffins she had for sample. They were blueberry muffins and I might add, quite good. I targeted her voice, and soon we were chatting about muffins and why I was there. I explained that I needed some help and that I’d called, but had ended up there earlier than expected so they’d not been at the door to meet us. She gave me a muffin, shut down her table for a moment and walked with us back to the customer service desk to see what we could learn about my helper.

Soon, as is more than not the case people around the desk were commenting on my beautiful boy. One man said, “Oh! How beautiful he is, just look at his fur, how it shines in the light.” Another lady said, “Just see how his eyes do shine. He looks so happy.” Yet another man said, “How about the size of that head? Isn’t that awesome?!” I laughed, “I’m afraid it’s the Ego!” What was Campbell doing during all this? Why, laying in the floor on a rug he found and looking as innocent as his handler truly is…

Finally the girl who’s name I found out later was Sara was there to help us. We shopped for new jeans for me, as well as a new hoody, with the softest furry lining  inside I have felt in a while. New under things and socks that will be warm for the winter as well. For Campbell there was a big bag of dog food. For Kitty Bob a bag of Meow Mix, Sea-Food Melody! His Fave kind.

I got myself some awesome smelling shampoo and conditioner. No Two in One today! Got both! Even got me another big big big bottle of shower jell, and it does smell awesome! Even picked up a huge bottle of Gain  washing detergent. Why? Because I could!

Finally I had so much stuff I had to quit! I also had to call my dad and have him come and pick us up. I texted while in line saying, “Can you come and get us, I bought more than I can carry!” He laughed at me when he got there, because I’m forever saying, “I never over buy when I go to Walmart!” Well, Pfui on that! I had money that was meant to spend!

(Thanks My Sweetie Pie Bobby)

Now, here we are, home warm and safe. Contented and happy. Supper is over with, and nope! I didn’t even wash the dishes!

I’m happy just to sit here and write. To remember the awesome day we’ve had and think about more of them to come. I still have money on that card, and next week we’re going back. I want new shoes. I’m going to get them. Until then this is Campbell and Patty saying, “Go Go Walmart! Shopping!”
